Free Gerontology course for caretakers of seniors and disabled

    The Department of Social Services and Community Development is inviting caretakers of seniors and disabled persons to apply to be part of a free Basic Gerontology Skills Training course that commences September 26, 2016.

     

    The course is being coordinated by the Department of Social Services and Community Development in collaboration with the University of the West Indies Open Campus and sponsored by the Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF).  
     
    At the conclusion of the 13 week training, which takes place twice per week, participants will receive University of the West Indies certification in gerontology skills.  One group of participants will meet at mornings and the other group at evenings.
     
    Application forms can be obtained at the Department of Social Services office on Victoria Road, Basseterre, St. Kitts.
