BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – INFORMATION reaching this media house suggesting that there was a fatal shooting in Nevis this evening (Sept. 20) has been confirmed.
The incident is said to have taken place in the Gingerland area sometime before 8:30 p.m.
Information is sketchy at this time but contact was made with Deputy Commissioner of Police Hilroy Brandy who confirmed that a shooting incident had taken place and one individual died as a result.
Brandy however informed that he was not in a position to provide further information.
An update would be provided as information becomes available.
This has been the 24th homicide recorded in the Federation for this year.
