Two homes at Ocean’s Edge burglarized

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TWO homes at Ocean’s Edge, Frigate Bay were illegally entered last evening (Sept. 29) and a number of items stolen.

     

    SKNVibes caught wind of the incident this morning and, after some investigations, learnt that electronic items and cash were stolen from the homes.

    A police source confirmed to this publication that according to information received, the occupants of the homes might have left the door unlocked which is the avenue through which the offender(s) gained access.

    They reportedly took laptops, cellular phones and money – which is said to be in excess of $1,000 in each case – before fleeing the residences and apparently making good their escape.

    When the occupants of the homes awoke, they discovered that the items were missing and reports were made to the relevant authorities.

    SKNVibes understands that security personnel is usually stationed at Ocean’s Edge.

    The police are making investigations into the incidents and members of the public who may have information relevant to these cases are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS). The nearest police station can also be contacted and the information can be passed on condition of anonymity.
