Police Press Release 06-10-2016: Report of arrests, convictions and other activities

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 06, 2016, (RSCNPF):  Below is a report of Arrest, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period October 3 to 5. 

     

    ARREST AND BAIL:
    Arrested: Patricia Marsham of Godwin Ghaut was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Possession of Cannabis. 
     
    Arrested: Varon Shane Cole of Brick Kiln was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences  Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply. 
     
    Arrested:  Abkim Bryan of the Alley Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Malicious Damage.
     
    Arrested: Jonathan Marsham of Godwin Ghaut was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Possession of Cannabis.
     
    Arrested/Bailed:  Franklyn Thompson of Keys was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with intent to Supply. Bailed:  Franklyn Thompson of Keys Village who was arrested and charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with intent supply was granted bail in the sum of $5,000.00 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on the Monday 7th November, 2016. 
     
    Arrested/Bailed:  Iwana Bradley of Keys was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with intent to Supply. Bailed: Iwanja Bradley of Keys Village who was arrested and charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with intent supply was granted bail in the sum of $10,000.00 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on the Monday 7th November, 2016. 
     
    Arrested/Bailed: George Ambrose Duchene of Godwin Ghaut was arrested formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply and cultivation of Cannabis. Bailed: George Duchene of Godwins Ghaut who was charged with the offences of Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply and cultivation of cannabis was granted bail in the sum of $25,000.000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on 7th November 2016.
     
    Arrested/Bailed: Shadique Hendrickson of Keys Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply. Bail: Shadique Hendrickson was granted in the sum of $5,000.00 with two for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on the Monday 7th November. 
     
    Bailed: Sherianne Govia of Davis Road, Phillips Village who was arrested and charged for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply however his was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on Monday 7th November, 2016 at 9 o'clock in the forenoon. 
     
    Bailed: Almondo Antonio Presna of McKnight who was arrested and charged for the offence of Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine with intent supply was granted bail in the sum of $10,000.00 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on the Monday 7th November, 2016 at 9 o'clock in the forenoon. 
      
    COURT CONVICTIONS:
    In matters at the St. Christopher Circuit Court Criminal Assizes presided over by His Lordship Justice Trevor Ward, QC and in the case D.P.P vs St. Clair Christopher of Sandy Point who was indicted for Indecent Assault,  was found Guilty. His Lordship ordered a Social Inquiry Report on the convict then remanded him to Her Majesty's Prison until his sentencing on 31st October, 2016.  
     
    Juror Jomah Freeman of Sandy Point was fined $300.00 by His Lordship Lordship Justice Trevor Ward, QC  for failing to appear at Court. 
     
    OTHER ACTIVITY:
    Malicious Damage:  Police is investigating two (02) cases of malicious damage to vehicles.  One incident in St. Johnson's Village in which the V/C awoke on October 05 to find his car a Nissan Fuga with words spray painted on the body of the car. The other incident occurred on Walwyn Ave, where the V/C reported that his blue Toyota Hiace Bus was parked and secured. The V/C reported that  at about 6.20am on October 5,  he made a check on the bus and discovered the rear window broken by some unknown person(s).  The investigations are ongoing. 
     
    Building Breaking and Larceny; Burglary: Police is investigating a building breaking and larceny at a business located on Cayon Street. Investigations revealed the building was secured on October 4  and upon return about  10.45am on October 5  it was discovered to be broken into.  A number of items were taken. Police is also investigating a burglary that occurred at a residence on Cayon Street. Both scenes were processed by the Crime Scene Unit, and the investigations continue.  
     
    Search Warrants Executed: Police executed a number of search warrants over the period of this report. The warrants were executed in the following areas Phillip’s Bourryeaux Village, Brick Kiln, Godwin Ghaut, New Road Housing and New Castle.

    Traffic Accident: There were five (5) traffic accidents on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts and one (1) in Nevis on October 3. There was one (1) traffic accident on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts on  October 4.. There were two (2) traffic accidents on the federation's roadways in St. Kitts on October 5. 
     
    Citizen Safety:  Police continue to conduct operations in support of "Operation Safe Streets".  Operation Safe Streets is a combined law enforcement operation with the objectives of removing illegal firearms, ammunition, drugs and instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities. 
     
    Community Engagement: Officers continue to participate in school visits throughout the federation,  conduct community patrols in the various communities they serve.  All in efforts to build stronger community - Police relationship.
