    Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 10, 2016 (RSCNPF): Two members of the High Command of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police and a Senior Officer in Her Majesty's Customs and Excise Department are currently in Barbados attending the Senior Executive Development Course being conducted by the Regional Security System Training Institute's (RSS-TI).  

     

    The two week course is being held at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill school of Business and is designed to equip the senior leadership of the region's national security organizations; Police, Defence Force, Prison, Fire and Customs Services with the training to steer change and maximize results within their organizations.  
     
    During the two weeks, the students will cover topics such strategic decision making, how to lead strategic change initiatives, leading collaborative teams, cross cultural and cross generational team management, emotional intelligence and other relevant subject area matters.  
     
    The current Executive Development class is comprised of students from all RSS member territories.  
     
    Attending the course from St. Kitts and Nevis are Assistant Commissioner's of Police (ACP) Mr. Terrance James, (ACP) Mr. Andre Mitchell and Her Majesty's Customs and Excise Department Senior Assistant  Comptroller (Ag) Ms. Launlia Archibald.  
     
    The team completed the first week on Friday (October 7).
