    Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 11, 2016 (RSCNPF): As the Police Service continues to transform into a modern day forward thinking Police Service the development of its human resources will be a critical factor.   

     

    To underscore the importance of this Commissioner of Police Mr. Ian M. Queeley at meeting of  Gazetted Officers on Tuesday (October 11) invited representatives from the Monroe College to present on educational programs and opportunities available through the Monroe College School of Criminal Justice for persons in Law Enforcement.  
     
    College representatives Dr Alex Ephrem and Kimarah Isaac gave an overview of programs available for persons in Law Enforcement.  
     
    Commissioner,  Mr. Ian M. Queeley in brief remarks challenged the officers to take the information back and share with the officers in their charge. Commissioner Queeley stressed to the group, that future advancement in the Police Service will take education into consideration.  
     
    "Education can be a contributor to your future advancement,  I encourage you to embrace the it and ensure those who work for you do so as well.  Opportunities such as these, ..... with online delivery,   makes it easier to achieve", said Commissioner Queeley.  
     
    The session was attended by Law Enforcement partners from the St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force, Her Majesty's Prison,  Her Majesty's Customs and Excise Department and the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services.
