Five bills for debate in the National Assembly on Thursday

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, MAY 26 2009 (CUOPM) – Five bills will be debated when the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly meets this coming Thursday.
     
    Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas in his capacity as Minister of National Security and Minister of Sustainable Development will pilot through the lawmaking body the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Bill, 2009; the St. Kitts Peninsula Resort District (Planned Community) (Amendment) Bill, 2009 and the Development Control and Planning (Amendment) 2009.
     
    Minister of Finance, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris will move the Second Reading of the Licences on Businesses and Occupations (Amendment) Bill, 2009 and the Captive Insurance Companies  (Amendment) Bill 2009. Both bills were introduced and had their first readings at March 3 and March 26 sittings respectively.
