BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ICILMA FRANCIS and Orngel Estridge, the Federation’s two latest murder victims, died from gunshot wounds to the chest and head respectively.
A Police Press and Public Relations Office release issued yesterday (May 26) revealed that pathologist Dr. Stephen Jones performed post mortem examinations on the bodies of the two women on Monday (May 25).
It informs, “Dr. Jones concluded that Francis died as a result of gunshot injury to the chest with haemorrhage and shock, while Estridge died as a result of gunshot injury to the head.”
Francis died on Sunday, May 17 after an assailant opened fire on the jeep she was travelling in through Molineux. She was hit in the chest and her boyfriend, Brian ‘DJ Ras Benjie’ Farrell, was shot in the arm and leg.
Just two days later, Estridge was shot in the head by an assailant as she sat in her bedroom at Shadwell Gardens.
The release states that several persons have been arrested on suspicion of murder in both cases. However, no one has yet been charged.
Investigations are ongoing.
