BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – JASON ‘MAD MAN’ LIDDIE, the man for whom police had issued a wanted bulletin earlier today (Oct. 22), had presented himself to the law enforcement agency.
A police communiqué issued this afternoon states: “The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force wishes to inform the general public that person identified in a “Wanted Person” bulletin on Saturday (October 22) has presented himself to the Police.”
It further states that he is now in police custody and “the police extends its appreciation to the media for assisting in widest dissemination of the information and to the general public for their assistance.
This morning, the police had issued a communiqué stating that the 31-year-old Liddie, whose addresses were given as Basseterre, Parsons and Sandy Point, had escaped from police custody after being arrested for burglary.
It also stated that he was considered armed and dangerous and that “anyone who sees him or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact the Sandy Point Police Station at 465-6261, the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS), where your information will be held confidential and you may be eligible for reward”.
