BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IN commemoration of its 35th year of existence and in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the National Association of Administrative Professionals of St. Kitts and Nevis (NAAP) recently made a donation to the Reach for Recovery Foundation.
The contribution was made on Saturday (Oct. 22) and took place at the St. George’s Church Hall on Victoria Road.
It was received by the President of the Reach for Recovery Breast Cancer Foundation, Agnes Farrell, who is also an honourary member of NAAP.
Speaking with SKNVibes, Consultant to and founding member of NAAP Claudia Williams informed that during the years of its existence, the Association has trained many administrative professionals and it was decided that this would be a different and fitting way to give back to the community.
“This year we are celebrating our 35th anniversary as an organization and NAAP has been doing training for office managers, administrative professions, people who are in the administrative field for the past 35 years. We have also mentored students from the CFBC and high schools around St. Kitts. And we decided we should give a donation in this form.
“Since it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we thought it would be a good thing to make such a donation, especially to Ms. Farrell who is a honourary member of the Association.”
Williams informed that a contribution was also made to the Holy City Worship Centre on Fort Thomas Road, Basseterre. That was received by the church’s leader, Pastor Ronald Taylor.
Williams, who has served in various capacities in the Association including President, said the organization is currently in discussions about the possibility of making donations to other charitable organisations.
