Two murders in a matter of hours

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – JUST hours after a young man was fatally shot and a young woman injured, a Cayon resident has lost his life to gun violence.

The incident took place sometime after 7:00 this evening (Oct. 25) in Ottley’s Village,

Information surrounding this incident is not forthcoming but this publication understands that the 20-year-old was in a particular area in the village when he was fired upon. And having been shot, he reportedly ran through an alley where he collapsed and died.

Units of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force were summoned to the scene to conduct initial investigations.

Approximately four hours prior, a 39-year-old man was shot to death while he and a female were within a white vehicle in the vicinity of  the Methodist Church in St. Johnston’s Village.

The female was also shot and was transported to the JNF General Hospital.

These represent the Federation’s 25th and 26th homicide for the year, and they have taken place after an approximate month-long lull in such activity.

Investigations into both incidents are currently being made.
