BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - WITH the Federation still struggling to make sense of the two murders that took place just hours apart, members of the public who might have information about the incidents are asked to assist the authorities with their investigations by passing on the information.

At about 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 25), 39-year-old Marlon Mills of Sandy Point was shot to death while he was occupying a white vehicle.

The vehicle was also being occupied by a female who, while injured, survived the ordeal. This incident occurred in the vicinity of the Methodist Church at St. Johnston’s Village.

Less than four hours later, news began circulating that another individual, identified as 20-year-old Zennick McSheen of Cayon, was shot while in Ottley’s Village. This incident, according to police, took place at the junction of Big Show Alley and the Island’s Main Road.

Both men died on the scene, taking the Federation’s homicide rate to 26.

SKNVibes understands that a number of individuals have been taken into police custody in relation to Mills’ death but none for McSheen’s.

Concerning both incidents, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force urges “anyone who may have been in the area(s) and may have seen anything relating to (these) incident(s) to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 465-2241 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS).”
