Boyd’s Villager shot in Old Road

By: Stanford Conway, SKNVibes.com
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – JUST two days after the shooting-death of two young men and the wounding of a female, a male resident of Boyd’s Village was shot multiple times in the Old Road area.

According to a police communiqué, the incident occurred at about 8:00 a.m. today (Oct. 27).

It also stated that initial investigations revealed that an unknown assailant had fired several shots at the 29-year-old from Boyd’s Village and he was struck multiple times in both legs.

The victim was transported to the JNF General Hospital where he is currently warded.

This publication was however told that the victim is Chadin Buchanan, who on Wednesday (Sept. 28) was arrested along with his girlfriend and charged for alleged possession of a .380 pistol with five matching rounds of ammunition.

His girlfriend was released on $50, 000 bail earlier this month and he obtained his pre-trial liberty sometime last week to the tune of $75,000.

SKNVibes learned that Buchanan was on Wingfield Road, Old Road when he was shot.

The communiqué stated that the scene was canvassed by investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit and the Criminal Investigations Department as well as technicians from the Forensics Services Unit.

The police are appealing to anyone who might have witnessed this incident or any activity pertaining to it, to contact the nearest police station, as “what you may have seen or heard may be of help in this investigation”.

At about 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 25), while Marlon Mills and a female companion were in a white rental motorcar parked in the vicinity of the Methodist Church in St. Johnston Village, a gunman had reportedly exited a black motorcar on Cardin Avenue and shot the 29-year-old to his head.

Mills died at the scene and his female companion, who was in the front passenger seat, was shot once to the leg and taken to the JNF General Hospital.

Police have reported that a person of interest was apprehended and was assisting them with their investigation into the matter.

Less than four hours later, 20-year-old Zennick McSheen of Cayon was shot and killed while in Ottley’s Village.

According to police, this incident took place at the junction of Big Show Alley and the Island’s Main Road.

Investigations into these incidents are ongoing.
