BASSETEREE, St. Kitts – THE Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force informed that it has made a breakthrough in the St. Johnston’s Village murder which took place days ago.
In a press release issued this evening (Oct. 28), it was indicated that Dwight ‘Mac 11’ Jacobs of Buckley’s Estate was formally arrested and charged with one count of murder and one count of wounding with intent.
The charges stem from an October 25 incident where Marlon Mills of Sandy Point was occupying a white vehicle with a female when shots were fired and both were injured.
Mills was fatally wounded while the female was said to have suffered injury(ies) to her leg(s). She was reportedly taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment.
The incident took place along St. Johnston Avenue in vicinity of the Methodist Church at about 4:00 p.m.
Not long after the incident had occurred, the Police indicated that a person of interest was taken into custody.
Mills’ death brought the Federation’s 2016 murder rate to 25. And just hours after, another murder took place in Ottley’s Village. The victim of that incident was 20-year-old Zennick McSheen of Cayon.
Both incidents are under investigation.
