CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – THE Guyanese Association, Nevis Chapter, will on Sunday (May 31) honor nine of its founding members at the Annual Independence Awards Ceremony at the Red Cross building in Charlestown.

One of the directors of the Association Eric Singh said on Wednesday that the executive felt it necessary to recognise the achievements of these pioneers while they are still around.

This is first time the association is honoring more than one person at the same time following the recognition of Hilton Lawson and Winston Adams at previous ceremonies.

The nine to be honored are businesswoman Banmattee Ram, Debra Fraser, Dexter English, Eric Singh, Lester Truman, Noel Dalton, Richard English and businesswoman Sunita Browne.

    Sunday’s ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m.
