Entrepreneurs Invited To Business Project Management Seminar

    BVI, 16 November 2016 - Entrepreneurs in the British Virgin Islands are invited to improve their project management skills through a Business Project Management Seminar on Tuesday, November 29.

     

    The seminar will be held at the Moorings Conference Room from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is being hosted by the Department of Trade, Investment Promotion and Consumer Affairs, in collaboration with the European Union funded Caribbean Overseas Small and Medium Enterprises (COSME) Programme.

    The seminar will be facilitated by Project Management Consultant with Smith & Associates, Ms. Shaina M. Smith, and is designed to give participants an understanding of project planning, along with management techniques used in managing organisational change to improve business processes and operations.

    Among others, topics to be covered in the seminar include principals of change management; planning a project; identifying the scope and boundaries of a project; developing a project proposal; and managing a project for results.

    Director of Trade, Investment Promotion and Consumer Affairs, Mrs. Karia Christopher said, “The department is pleased to partner with the COSME Programme to provide this seminar. It is important that our entrepreneurs have a working knowledge of project management as it relates to the scope of their businesses and ensuring the provision of quality and diverse services to the public.”
