BASSETERRE, St. Kitts & Nevis (October 26, 2016) – FLOW St. Kitts & Nevis celebrates its 2nd annual Mission Day.
Mission Day, celebrated on October 19th is an initiative to provide colleagues of FLOW with an avenue to live out in a demonstrable way the FLOW Mission of “Connecting Communities, Transforming Lives.”
The previous year’s Mission Day activities saw FLOW staff members delivered food hampers to several elderly persons both in St. Kitts and Nevis. Additionally, staff members adopted Ade’s Place (a home for adults with disabilities) for the day, assisting with cleaning the facility as well as donating a much-needed food processor and iron to the home.
This year in keeping with October being the month of the elderly, FLOW staff in St. Kitts visited the Cardin Home where they did refurbishment work in the two common rooms at the facility, as well as making a donation of food other personal supplies to the residents of the home.
In Nevis, FLOW staff visited the St. George/St. John Home for the Elderly, where they also executed refurbishment work on the exterior of the building. The residents were extremely appreciative of these demonstrations of support.
