Mega Gospel Concert on this evening

    Regional artistes on the line-up

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - FLOW ground will come alive this evening (Dec. 2) with the much-anticipated Gospel Explosion Concert, where several regional and local artistes will be performing.

On the line-up are Guyanese songster Shawn English, Jamaica’s Bryan ‘De Anointed’ Vale and headline performer Ghanaian Atta Boafo, who is best known for his ‘Double-Double’ lyrics.

At a press conference to launch the event, Jernel Auboine of Redeemed Promotions disclosed that their main aim outside of seeking to draw persons to God’s Kingdom is to highlight to the nation’s youth that there is another way out of the troubles in which they found themselves.

Auboine gave an example of how he changed his life around from a road of criminality.

“Anything that you do without a cause has no effect. The truth is that people tend to stereotype people based on how you dress, based on your complexion, based on your ethnic background. Persons thought that my life would have been nothing more than a prisoner and someone who would have been dead by the gun because I was an authentic gangster. And when I look and see God pulled me out, and when I look at my life today and walking into a church [as a youth] and wanting to kill a pastor, God never gave up on me.”

This, Auboine noted, is an example of how the lives of youths in the Federation could change.

“Look what God has made of my life today. I am here doing a press conference with you today, and if I told you that I have never been to school you would never believe me based on my words. That tells me that God can take nothing and make something out of it,” he said.

According to all of the artistes, this is not just another event they would come and perform, but rather one with a difference where they would be seeking to minister to those in attendance while saving lives.

“We want people to have a good time but, at the end of the day, we want people to be impacted spiritually; and so it would have a greater impact on the nation as a whole, JIFE’s Music Andre Huie stated.

Several of the artistes would be releasing albums and official music videos during the event.

The event kicks off at 7:00 p.m. sharp and the likes of Sister Toby, Evangelist Jerry and the Dore brothers will be performing in addition to the headliners.
