He explained that according to the information he received, an individual identified as “Parris” of Phillips’ Village was driving motor car R897 which collided with a dumpster.
Superintendent Moore explained that at the time of incident, the vehicle was also occupied by the 4-month-old child and her mother, who were said to have been in the back seat.
The mother, SKNVibes has been informed, complained of back pain and is suspected of having a broken arm. She was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The driver, the Superintendent indicated, is also seeking medical attention.
This is the Federation’s second road fatality for the year. The first is Leshawn Jones of Keys Village who lost his life on Wednesday (Jan. 11) after being struck by a motor omnibus in his home village on Monday (Jan. 9).
“I must urge the drivers to exercise care and caution on the road because this is our second road fatality for the year and there has been much concern. Two children lost their lives and one child is one too many. And as such all road users must exercise caution…in their use of the road.”
Investigations into the incident are being made.
