CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – THE daughter of Antigua’s Solicitor-General was admitted to the Bar of St. Kitts and Nevis on Friday (June 5) in Charlestown.

Barbara Hesse, whose father Lebrecht Hesse was present when her application was presented by Leonora Walwyn of WalwynLaw before Her Ladyship Justice Ianthea Leigertwood-Octave, is a graduate of the Norman Manley Law School. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Kent, a Master’s of Science Degree in International Banking and Finance from the University of Salford, and is a member of the honorable society of Lincoln’s Inn.

Hesse has begun her legal career as an associate at the firm WalwynLaw and was warmly welcomed to the nobility of the legal profession by Justice Octave and members of the Nevis legal fraternity.

Hesse’s family, originally from Ghana, came over from Antigua to show support for the young lady. Along with her father came her mother, Barbara-Marian; sister, Nana Oye; brother Johan; sister-in-law, Tessa; and her sister’s fiancé, Lydan.

They all congratulated and praised her for the hard work and sacrifice she made on her road to success.
