    Title: Renewable Maintenance Engineer Specializing in Green Energy

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Green Technologies Engineer to join and lead our Maintenance team.

     

    Job Summary: As a Green Technologies Engineer at Sunset Reef St Kitts, you will be responsible for forming, maintaining and optimizing various green energy systems, including geothermal, solar, and HVAC controls. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the efficiency, functionality, and longevity of these systems. Additionally, you will utilize your technical knowledge to troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and integrate new technologies into existing systems.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

     

    · Conduct maintenance and repair activities on geothermal systems from leading manufacturers such as Water-Furnace and Nordic Geothermal.

     

    · Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on refrigeration geothermal thermal systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.

     

    · Design and integrate HVAC system controls using Tekmar technology, ensuring seamless operation and energy savings.

     

    · Repair and maintain circulation pumps and VFD pumps from manufacturers such as Gundfos to support the functionality of green energy systems.

     

    · Implement SPT SSSC Solid State Supercapacitor system architecture and perform preventive maintenance to maximize system reliability and performance.

     

    · Install and maintain solar panel systems, including design basics and troubleshooting to maximize energy production and efficiency.

     

    · Plan, coordinate, and supervise all engineering projects within the organization.

     

    · Establish and implement engineering policies, standards, and procedures

     

    · Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to the engineering team

     

    · Keep abreast of new technologies and competitive products

     

    · Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations

     

    · Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of necessary equipment and materials

     

    · Prepare and manage the engineering department’s budget

     

    · Present reports on the department’s progress and projects to senior management

     

    · Manage the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems in accordance with brand’s Standard Operating Procedures

    · Make energy management a priority, track and report on usage

     

    · Ensures repair and maintenance of facility equipment

     

    Qualifications:

     

    · Hands-on experience with geothermal systems maintenance and repair, including WaterFurnace and Nordic Geothermal products.

     

    · Proficiency in HVAC system controls design and integration, particularly with Tekmar technology.

     

    · Familiarity with circulation pumps and VFD pumps repair and maintenance, preferably with experience working on Gundfos products.

     

    · Certification in SPT SSSC Solid State Supercapacitor system architecture and preventive maintenance.

     

    · Experience in solar panel installation, maintenance, and design basics.

     

    · Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks effectively.

     

    · Proficiency in technical software such as AutoCAD and CANVAS.

     

    · 5 - years of industry experience in a variety of contexts, during which you’ve built scalable, robust, and fault-tolerant systems.

     

    · Bachelor degree of Mechanical Engineering or related field is required

     

    · Minimum of 5 years of management level experience in facilities/property maintenance or engineering is required
