Job Summary: Assisting with all financial and accounts’ matters related to the Firm
Duties:
Receiving cash, processing receipts, making bank deposits, monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing and sending invoices to clients, preparing and sending purchase orders to creditors, training personnel to work on updated accounting systems, following up on outstanding balances when required, maintaining exact financial records noting employer's incoming and outgoing finances, reconciling bank statements, preparing and monitoring the firm’s budgets, processing employee wages and expense claims, preparing balance sheets and profit and loss statements, creating regular financial reports, interacting with clients by phone and email, meeting and greeting visiting clients, carrying out administrative duties such as composing correspondence, filing, photocopying, and any other duties as assigned by the Principal or Associates of the firm.
Office Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
Qualifications/Experience:
Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field and or Bookkeeping Experience would be an asset.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Accounting software;
- Knowledge of Financial Principles and Accounting terminology;
- Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets;
- A good attention to detail;
- Excellent math and analytical skills;
- Good record keeping, writing and communication skills and
- Ability to produce high level work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work well with other team members
