    Title: Housekeeping Manager

    Department: Housekeeping

    Reports to: General Manager

    Royal St Kitts Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Frigate Bay. With 227 luxury studios and suites each with its own fully stocked and equipped kitchen, it is simply your ‘home away from home’. Due to our expanding growth, we are hiring a Housekeeping Manager to join our team.

    Job Summary: The Housekeeping Manager supervises and coordinates activities of room attendants, laundry attendants, inspectors and supervisors. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and directing day-to-day operations of all housekeeping and laundry functions. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest challenges. This position is responsible for the overall operation of the housekeeping department with high attention to detail.


    What you will do:

    • Train and manage the housekeeping staff including hiring and scheduling. 

    • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to meet quality standards.

    • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.

    • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliancewith health and safety regulations. 

    • Handle guest complaints and requests in a timely and professional manner. 

    • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning activities and support overall operations.

    • Manage hotel facilities including locker rooms, staff areas, and common areas are consistently clean, neat and fully stocked.

    • To adhere to all Human Resource policies and employment practices are followed.

    • Schedule associates for shifts according to projected occupancy for approval

    • To monitor and maintain housekeeping equipment, tools and appliances are used, operated and stored properly and safely.

    • To report maintenance issues observed in rooms to the Facilities/Maintenance Manager.

    • Exercise the highest level of care in using chemicals used by all associates.

    • Follow up and resolve all guest and associates’ issues and concerns.

    • Assist in cleaning duties when assigned.

    What you must have:

    • Computer proficiency in Windows environment (Word, Excel and RDP and or related POS applications.)

    • Minimum of 3-year previous proven managerial experience.

    • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset or equivalent related customer service work experience.

    • Fluency in English, professional command of the language. Spanish will be an asset.

    • Strong guest service orientation and training skills background required.

    • Ability to handle a multitude of tasks and guest requests.

    • Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.

    • Works independently and prioritizes responsibilities.

    • Possess honesty and integrity.

    • Possess a professional demeanor and hospitality personality working with fellow coworkers and the public

    Physical Requirements:

    • Able to write, speak, read, hear and see

    • Good command of the English language, written and spoken

    • Walking, kneeling, and bending

    • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

    • Standing for prolonged periods

    • Working with chemicals and animals

    • Working in hot conditions indoors and outdoors

    Terms of Employment: Weekdays, Weekends, Holidays (Shift)
