GENERAL OVERVIEW
The Bagger is the last point of contact with every Customer that purchases items. The Bagger must be diligent yet prompt in bagging the purchased items. The Bagger must be versed in the techniques of proper packing to ensure convenience in moving the items.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Bag, box or wrap merchandise purchased by Customers at the checkout area.
· Offer general assistance to Customers with locating items needed for purchase.
· Assist Customers with questions about the product(s).
· Offer carry-out assistance to Customers with high volume and/or heavy purchases.
· Ensure trollies/hand baskets are returned to the Supermarket.
· Assist with price checks for Customers prior to approaching the checkout area.
· Assist with prompt cleanup of product leakages or spills.
· Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
· Capable of lifting heavy items.
· Other duties which may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
· High School Diploma.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
· Ability to stand for long hours.
· Valid food handler’s permit.
