    Applications are invited for the following Position:


    JOB TITLE: Landscaping Supervisor


    DEPARTMENT: Maintenance & Landscaping Department


    The University of Medicine and Health Sciences is seeking to employ a cultured, diverse and professional Landscaper




    Directly supervises, manages, directs and coordinates activities of staff engaged in Landscaping or Grounds Keeping activities. Will be responsible for, but not limited to irrigation repairs, mowing, watering schedules, tree trimming and removal, weed eating, spraying, fertilizing and maintaining of Landscaping equipments and utensils.


    Supervisor of Landscaping will report directly to Supervisor of Maintenance.




    · Applicant must have proven experience with at least 7 years working as a landscaper and two to three years as Landscape Supervisor with knowledge of all aspects of commercial landscaping.


    · Provide two written employment references in the landscaping industry as a Landscaper/Landscape Supervisor.


    · Must have a valid manual driver’s license.


    · Must be able to work on weekends, public holidays, emergency callouts and overtime as required.


    · Ability to plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review and participate in the work with staff.


    · Basic computer skills would be an advantage but is optional.


    · Monitor and control supplies, equipment and staff.


    · Working knowledge of all types of flowering plants, bushes, trees and fruit bearing trees.


    · Knowledge of germinating, grafting, planting and pruning.


    · Must have knowledge of pesticides, fertilizers and application process as well as all safety precautions necessary.


    · Knowledge and ability to operate mowers, weedwhackers, chain saws, electric/manual clippers, sprayers, etc. along with all safety precautions necessary.


    Successful REQUIREMENTS:


    · Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials


    · Requires prolonged sitting or standing


    · Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning and reaching


    · Requires climbing and balancing


    · Must be able to work in and around dust, fumes, and odors


    · Requires regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job


    · Administration and Management knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, coordination of people and resources


    · Dependability: Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.




    · Perform the basic function of the position.


    · Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.


    · Work independently with little direction.


    · Work confidentially with discretion.


    · Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.


    · Ability to interface with top management.


    Compulsory: Successful candidate must be fully vaccinated
