Delisle Walwyn Group of Companies is seeking an experienced individual to fill the position of Operations Supervisor for their Tropical Shipping department. This individual must be highly organized and customer. As the face of our operations, they will provide accurate and timely service to our customers while contributing to the overall profitability of Delisle Walwyn & Co. Ltd/Tropical Shipping.
The areas of responsibility include but are not limited to the following:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering phone calls promptly and courteously, and assisting walk-in customers with a positive attitude.
• Liaise with export customers, ensuring empty containers are provided and required guidelines/documentation are followed.
• Coordinate vessel preparations, ensure timely completion of Bills of Lading, manifests, and other documentation.
• Supervise the XRMS team, ensuring chassis and equipment are repaired/maintained in a timely manner.
• Verify accuracy of Port Authority invoices and assist with back-checking disbursement accounts.
• Foster good team spirit, adhere to operating hours, and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Supervisory/Management experience, a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role is required.
• An Associate's degree or higher.
• Experience in logistics or shipping industry is an asset.
• Must have own vehicle and possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be fully proficient in Microsoft word, excel and other computer related skills.
• Must be willing to work on weekends, public holidays when necessary.
• Ability to speak and write English fluently.
