Skandis – St Kitts and Nevis Disposals 
Our company is seeking an experienced Welder with over 5 (five) years’ experience to join our team. While this role focuses on welding and repairing issues, our ideal candidate is also comfortable working as a technician. In addition to making repairs, you will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on trucks, brakes, transmission, and other systems. Applicants need a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. 

Welder Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Study and interpret blueprints and measurements 

• Read sketches and specifications 

• Inspect structures and materials before welding 

• Operate torches and power supplies 

• Use and maintain specialized welding machines and equipment 

• Weld components 

• Monitor stages of welding process 

• Prepare work orders and order parts 

• Asses the quality of welds and identify flaws 

• Follow strict safety regulations – including a clean and safe workplace 

Requirements and Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred) 

• Valid driver's license (CDL strongly preferred) 

• Mechanical skills 

• Basic computer skills 

• Basic math skills
