Scope of Work
The Deputy Principal at ICCS assists the Principal in managing staff and oversees responsibilities in their absence under the School Board's direction. This ministerial role requires upholding Catholic teachings and fostering a safe, faith-based environment for students while demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Practicing Roman Catholic who values Catholic education.
• Bachelor's degree (e.g., B.Ed., B.A/B.Sc.)
• Diploma in Teaching or professional training in Education.
• Completed leadership-focused professional development.
• Seven+ years of management/supervisory experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications.
• Experience in training and capacity development, resource management skills
• Strong communication with diverse groups, effective oral and written skills.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
• Proficient instructional leader with strong management and coordination skills
• Sound judgment and ability to resolve issues effectively
• Knowledgeable in education policies and child protection laws
• Skilled in building relationships and supporting internal operations
• Motivates and communicates well with stakeholders
• Articulates educational philosophy to shape school ethos
• Manages succession planning, staff performance, and disciplinary procedures
• Collects and analyzes data to inform decisions
