Delisle Walwyn Group of Companies is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Manager for our Accounts Services Department. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong work ethics, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Corporate Operations & Strategy.
Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist the Senior Manager in running the department and ensure seamless operations.
• Prepare daily bank balance reports, manage cash vault reports, and ensure timely disbursements.
• Oversee the General Ledger, including opening and closing, postings, and journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely submission of tax payments including corporation taxes, VAT and land taxes.
• Prepare and review financial reports, including trial balances, bad debt schedules, and journal entries.
• Supervise and mentor team members, identify training needs, and develop operational plans for underperforming staff.
• Assist with budgeting, auditing, and financial statement review.
• Manage stock count, stock evaluation, and variance analysis.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with senior management to drive business growth and strategy.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of (5) five years accounting experience
• Appropriate accounting qualification (e.g., Bachelors in Accounting, ACCA, CPA)
• Knowledge of International Accounting Standards
