 Job Description

    SKCONMASS-St Kitts Concrete Masters 

    Our company is seeking an experienced Concrete Plant Mechanic with over 10 years experience to join our team, that maintains, and repairs the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of a concrete batch plant and ready-mix trucks, ensuring the plant operates efficiently and safely.

    Key duties include performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions, welding and fabricating parts, and operating tools such as cutting torches and wrenches.  

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Maintenance & Repair

    • Perform routine maintenance like cleaning and lubrication of machinery.  

    • Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.  

    • Dismantle defective machinery and install new or repaired parts.  

    • Operate welding and cutting equipment to repair and fabricate parts.  

    Inspections & Diagnostics: 

    • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions.  

    • Listen for unusual sounds from machines to identify problems.  

    • Conduct diagnostic tests on equipment to assess if major repairs are needed.  

    Installation

    • Install electrical apparatus, including transformers and wiring.  

    • Install, assemble, and maintain pipe systems.  

    Safety & Compliance

    • Adhere to established safety protocols and practices.  

    • Operate mobile equipment, including loaders or skid steers.  

    • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.  

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Proficiency with maintenance tools such as wrenches, welding equipment, and pneumatic tools.  

    • Ability to understand and apply safe electrical work practices.  

    • Familiarity with diagnosing mechanical problems in heavy equipment.  

    • Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform tasks for extended periods.  

    • Willingness to work in various weather conditions, as the job often involves outdoor work.
