The St. Kitts Tourism Authority (SKTA) invites applications from suitably qualified professionals to fill the position of Information Technology Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued digital transformation of the destination marketing and tourism development organization for St. Kitts.
About the Role
The Information Technology Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining internal digital systems, managing the SKTA’s website, safeguarding the organization’s digital assets through cybersecurity practices, and providing essential infrastructure and user support. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency through the strategic use of technology.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Building and maintaining internal software and database systems to streamline workflows.
• Managing the official SKTA website, ensuring updates, accessibility, performance, and security.
• Leading cybersecurity efforts, including risk assessments, staff training, and incident response.
• Supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure, including networks, hardware, and cloud services.
• Providing technical support and guidance to staff across all departments.
• Aid in the budgeting process for new technologies
• Supporting technological transition and helping to manage changes to business processes and IT systems.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the security of the organization's information and systems.
• Collaborating with other teams to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations.
• Supporting the planning, execution and monitoring of IT projects to ensure timely delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of experience in IT operations, software development, or infrastructure support.
• Solid knowledge of website management, network systems, and cybersecurity protocols.
• Experience with internal process development and IT support.
