Job Description: Plant Manager
Location: St. Kitts and Nevis
Reports to: Operations Manager/Project Manager
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager who will work closely with upper management and plant employees. Their job will be to establish production goals, safety standards and production processes that maximize production activities. They will also be responsible for diagnosing equipment problems, making repairs or ordering new equipment as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading a Team of existing Mechanics, through hands on application, technical transfer & motivating the Team through self-application,
- Ensure all machinery is checked in accordance with preventative maintenance guidelines, local regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Diagnose and repair Plant on a hands-on basis.
- Ensure adequate stock of all key parts and notify the line manager of required parts in a timely manner.
- Manage official plant paperwork.
- Mobilize and demobilize equipment and the start and end of projects.
- Manage spare-parts store, which includes ordering of urgent parts and supplies.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a plant manager
- Proven ability to lead, supervise, and develop teams
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills for data-driven decision-making
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
Work Schedule:
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime or weekend work as required.
