The Position:
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator leads and coordinates the Bank’s marketing and communications functions to enhance brand visibility, protect the Bank’s reputation, and support product promotion and stakeholder engagement. The role ensures that marketing campaigns, corporate communications, and brand activities are effectively executed and aligned with the Bank’s strategic objectives while providing operational leadership to the Marketing and Communications Unit.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Strategic, Marketing and Campaign Leadership:
• Develop and implement the Bank’s annual Marketing and Communications Strategic Plan aligned with corporate strategy and product priorities.
• Lead the planning and coordination of integrated marketing campaigns.
• Establish campaign objectives, timelines, target audiences and communication channels.
2. Stakeholder and Community Engagement:
• Coordinate sponsorship and community engagement initiatives aligned with the Bank’s brand and corporate social responsibility priorities.
• Support public-facing events, stakeholder engagements and media interactions.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, community partners and vendors to support marketing outcomes.
3. Product Development and Innovation:
• Collaborate with Business Areas to support the development and enhancement of the Bank’s products and services.
• Participate in product development initiatives by providing market insights, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
• Coordinate product launch activities to ensure effective promotion and customer awareness.
4. Corporate and Internal Communications:
• Partner with respective Business Areas to coordinate internal communication initiatives, including staff notices, executive announcements, and organizational change communications.
• Prepare official bank-wide communications to ensure consistent messaging and tone across the organization
• Support communication strategies for transformation initiatives, service improvements, and strategic projects.
5. Leadership and Unit Coordination:
• Provide leadership and operational direction for the Marketing and Communications Unit.
• Manage service requests received from Business Areas for marketing and communications support.
• Coordinate vendor relationships for advertising placements, printing services, promotional items and production needs.
6. Reporting, Governance and Budget Oversight:
• Prepare the annual Marketing and Communications Unit’s budget in alignment with strategic priorities and planned initiatives.
• Track marketing expenditure and support budget management for marketing and communications initiatives.
• Prepare periodic reports on campaign performance, marketing activities and engagement metrics.
• Maintain records of campaigns, marketing materials and communications outputs.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations or corporate communications.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading marketing teams.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
• Master’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
