The article posted on SKNVIbes during 2012 which caused the most buzz amongst readers, stemmed from an incident which occurred in February.
See if this jogs your memory: A young lady and her male counterpart went to a number of supermarkets through the Basseterre area shoplifting a particular item. The item, used for human consumption, satisfies the taste buds when ingested with ‘a half of bread’ or in pies.
It comes in various types including Afuega'l Pitu, Zanetti Parmigiano Reggiano, American and Swiss. And just in case you have not guessed it, it is cheese.
And the couple – because of their deeds – was subsequently branded the ‘Cheese Bandits’. In addition to gaining that accolade, they seem to have set the tone for persons – coming after them – who were caught in acts of pilfering.
