2. Project Overview.
The Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis in collaboration with Taiwan, invites sealed tenders from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply and delivery of one (1) new dump truck in support of a national recycling initiative.
3. Scope of Supply and Deliverables.
a) Specifications:
i. Load Capacity:
· Payload Capacity: 5.5 -6.5 tons
· Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR): At least 9.5 tons
ii. Engine and Transmission:
· Engine Type: Diesel
· Displacement: Minimum 3900cc
· Transmission: Manual, minimum 5-speeds
· Steering: Power-assisted
iii. Chassis and Suspension:
· Chassis Frame: Ladder-shaped channel section side rails
· Parking Brake: Mechanical or air-type
iv. Cargo Bed:
· Bed Type: Long flatbed with drop sides (or fixed)
· Material: Heavy duty steel
· Length: Minimum 3000mm
· Width: Minimum 1800mm
v. Dimensions:
· Overall Length: Minimum 5000 mm
· Overall Width: Minimum 1800mm
· Overall Height: Minimum 2300mm
vi. Cabin and Interior:
· Cab Type: Single Cab (2–3 seats)
· Air conditioning: Required
vii. Instruments:
· Speedometer
· Tachometer
· Coolant temperature gauge
· Brake warning
· Turn indicators
· Seat belts
b) Other Requirements:
i. Warranty: Minimum 1-year or 30,000 km, whichever comes first
ii. Spare Parts Availability: Vendors must confirm availability
iii. After-Sales Service: Must be provided by successful tenderer
iv. Licensing and Registration: Cost must be included in the bid amount
v. Delivery of Vehicle: Vehicle must be delivered to St. Kitts by December 31st, 2025.
Note:The Taiwan Technical Mission reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenderers, to negotiate with any or all tenderers, to waive any minor irregularities or errors, and to cancel the tendering process at any time without prior notice.
4. Conditions and Payment Terms
The successful bidder must enter a formal service contract, and agree to the following payment schedule:
· Advance Payment (10%): Payable upon reservation of vehicle.
· Final Payment (90%): Payable upon receipt of vehicle.
5. Address for Receipt of Tender
Taiwan Technical Mission Office Wellington Road, Needsmust (opposite FLOW playground) Basseterre, St. Kitts.
6. Time limit for Tender Submission
Tender quotations, including a detailed price breakdown, must be submitted to the Taiwan Technical Mission Office from May 19th 2025 to May 25th 2025.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
The selected bidder must adhere to the project’s timeline. Failure to meet deadlines may result in penalties.
7. Opening of Tender
Open bidding will take place at 10am on May 26th 2025. Tenderers or their authorized representatives are invited to attend the opening session at the Taiwan Technical Mission Office.
