Comment: I too have been a victim of the police lameness and inability to address reported matters. There is no doubt in my mind that this lady was subject to all that she has said. Then they expect the community to work with them, when they treat people in this manner. To hell with Mr Williams and his gang of Jokers that parade and mock the name of law & order. Comment: The Comptroller is correct. Where else can the press go to a customs department or nay other department and get comments without that information being vetted by the mayor, governor or whatever authority that department answers to. The hearsay, and erroneous information has to stop. Government has ONE clearing house for information to the press and like it or not that is the press secretary. There must be harmony in the information coming from the government and that information has to be vetted by the administration and government as to whether information is fit and right for public consumption. Government is not a rum shop, it must function according to its rules and regulations irrespective of the administration and its officers irrespective of how they get their jobs must serve the government within the confines of the General Standing Orders. Order is needed in government.

Comment: instead of support,the feedback is always in the negative, why? why cant we support our own? when the us customs make a bust,is it because the right customs officer was not working? the skn customs have limited resources and lots of negative pressures yet officers continue to perform there duties, support the customs,this is our land ,lets throw all our support behind those who have that thankless job of border security,they need that support!! and yes i am a customs officer,a proud one too!!

Comment: have you ever noticed that everytime there is an incident at customs involving a illegal find or seizure,the first perception or the first judgement is' the right customs officer was not working' that is always thrown out there...even though seizures are made throught the whole developed world in countries that have huge border resources and equipment,when our own tiny under equipped,under funded customs department is fortunate enough to intercept any illegal substances entering the country,...

Comment: Persons are not to say let the Police do their job. The Poilce are doing all sorts of unlawful stuff to persons that is not pertaining to their job and they need to stop. Just a week ago some police were on immigration raid and broke down persons door throw away their foodstuff etc. on Nevis.You would say they have a right to do that.They need to be more professional in doing their job.
