Comment: I share in the uncomfortable situation that we all face in the load shedding. What I would like to say is that the situation should not be use as a political status to down grade the performance of the Government or the Prime Minister, they are humans, even though they are Governing the Federation, we need to take in to consideration that persons are been employed to run the day to day operation of the plant and if a fault occur then we need to find out from the workers what happen before we throw blame. We need to share in the situation and have some patience. Look at other countries that are facing more serious electricity crisis, am not saying that we should compare, but the generators are metal and like every things else does a lot of work therefore we should expect that some where along the line the machine would encounter fall outs. We as Kittitians are too small minded and we find it so easy to point fingers and blame others. Its time we harmonize, work as citizens to build our country, help and curb some of the crisis that we are facing, the seperation of our little Federation is not doing any good regardless of our political affiliation. What we need to look at is the universal crisis that is going on, that is what is driving a lot of economical set backs. The question that I would like to ask the Leader of opposition, they have all these negative things to say about the Government, they talk about the National Depth, they talk about the faults of each and everything that goes on in the Federation, if they happen to get in to office they are saying in the wake of a morning the Federation would get rid of the National Depth, the crime and violence would disappear, the rising cost of living would drop down. We need to face reality, our Federation is not a manufacturing country and once the cost rises out there we should expect that it would affect us, I can say this much the Government is doing a great job in helping to ease the rising cost of living here, compare to other countries we are doing good. I always say that we are to ungrateful we don't give thanks where thanks is due, and to the opposition the attitude and behaviour is more of gain power to seek revenge than to gain power to help and continue the progress and development of our Federation. I could remember when Baldwin Spencer won in Antigua my friends use to say the sun is shining and things are better now they are bawling and saying the sun burning and is time he go, is that we want happen here, our little Federation is vastly developing, I have had friends come here after 5-7 years of staying away and are very much surprise with in the development of our little Federation. A change of Government would be a set back for it would be more of taking revenge, working to gain power just for personal and family purposes. God would continue to help the Government to do the good work it is doing and to all the citizens who are grateful for the good of the country I wish you continue success and God Blessings |
