Comment: Well I'm not saying he's "guilty" or "not guilty" or what he "deserves" ... ; because I do not know the intricate details of this particular case, but I know how the system run. Relative to my experience, observations and analysis of cases, its definately not efficient and/or very productive.
In addition, 'Curry' that thoughtless ques to ask "where was the plaintiff??". If the main witness is found shot dead the morning of the preliminary hearing, it's understandable that could cause the case to be "dismissed for want of prosecution." Because the chance of the murder incident being related or independent to this case, is a cause for concern. So, imagine how the plaintiff may feel, thats like gambling with your life. As the plaintiff, dealing with a sloppy system and [probably] thoughts of your life on the line, what would you have done??
However, thats not the point...the point is the legal system needs help. |
