Comment: IT IS DEPLORABLE THAT SANDY POINT HIGH SCHOOL HAS GOT TO PUT SANDY POINT IN THE HOT SEAT. WE ARE KNOWN TO HAVE THE BEST SCHOLARS IN THE FEDERATION COMING OUT OF SANDY POINT EVEN BEFORE THERE WAS A SANDY POINT HIGH SCHOOL. FOR YEARS ALMOST EVERY HEADMASTER/HEADMISTRESS ON THE ISLAND HAILED FROM OF SANDY POINT. I AM A TEACHER IN NEW YORK AND BRAGG ABOUT THE EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS IN MY FEDERATION AND MOREOVER IN SANDY POINT. LET US GET IT TOGETHER SANDY POINTERS, WE ARE A PROUD UNIQUE TOWN WITH MUCH TALENT AND BRAINS. WE HAVE HIGH SELF ESTEEM AND SHOULD PORTRAY THIS IN OUR ACTIONS. ONE BAD APPLE SPOILS THE WHOLE BUNCH AND WE SHOULD REMOVE ANY BAD APPLES FROM THE BASKET IRRESPECTIVE OF WHAT OTHERS HAS TO SAY. THERE MUST BE A CONSEQUENCE FOR ANY SITUATION. I HOPE THAT IS STILL THE MORNING ASSSEMBLY AT THE SCHOOL. PRAYER WORKS! PARENTS, STUDENTS AND TEACHERS SHOULD EMBARK ON A PRAYER ROAD AND HELP TO BRING AND KEEP STANDARDS AND MORALS TO OUR SOCIETY. Comment: Forget about politics. The location for suv=ch a world calss event is not appropriate. The residents should have concerns as they have to deal with noise, increase traffic, parking, and a total loss of what the area meant t6o them.. I can understand . I would not want such venue in my backdoor. The market value of their homes has gone drastically

Comment: Let me first say that the behavior of student around the island has been getting worste over the past years. lets not point finger but start coming together to solve these problems... yes i would admitt in my times at SPHS Mr. Hodge was harsh but yet still the best there was and would ever be he put out all his energy not only in school but after school as well.... He not only corrected student but teacher as well. we should expect these things to happen as teacher are not being corrected like they were in the days of Mr. hodge... we students had a fear of the LEGEND head teacher and so did the teachers.... again lets not point finger but come together to solve these problems...Before i leaeve may i take time to address the Mr. Welcom as he made a statment that am not comfortable with. getting kids out of school wont solve the problem but instead make a greater problem for the comunity in the future......

Comment: ... I am at a loss as to why the driver of the truck would even ATTEMPT to make his way between vehicles on both sides of the road. Anyone who drives on the roads of St. Kitts knows these monsters take up almost the entire road all by themselves!! Why this gentleman would think the road wide enough to accomodate his truck and TWO OTHER VEHICLES is beyond me. I have often observed these trucks being driven at breakneck speed, tearing around corners as if the devil himself were hot on their heels. Mark you, I know some of the drivers of these big trucks personally, and they are some of the best, most careful drivers in the Federation. The ones who display this disturbing lack of judgement give their responsible brethren a bad name and are a danger to us all. St. Kitts is 'small' enough that the regular offenders may be well known. The authorities (with the help of the general public!!) need to arrest this type of behaviour. It's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt... if it hasn't happened already.

Comment: Dey got no stadium, dey mek noise, no facilities for the youths dey say. Now dey get a stadium, dey still mek noise? Me yam ya...Kittitains, tell me what do you want, what is wrong with you gluttonous, never satifed, always-want people? Give thanks, learn to appreciate and stop the hating' and the complaining.

Comment: I think too much vechicles in St.kitts an every body want drive, look at 3 vechicles trying to pass. to top it off every where is near by and every body driving fast

Comment: As a former student of SPHS I am appalled at this type of behaviour which has obviously thrown the good name and record of SPHS into disrepute. If a student can raise their hand to hit a teacher, it suggests that they are already beating up their parents at home, and by the time they gain employment their employer would be next. I hope the Ministry of Education establishes and enforces a strong policy that would send a strong signal to would be hostile students. It would the first step to restoring the proud record of Sandy Point High.

Comment:  Mrs. H and her Ministry of Sustainable Devel. don't hav much work to do so here is something at least for them to do. If this was a "whiteman" it would have been no problem. But, as history shows us, our own people will fight us down. It is hard for we black people here in skb to use our own natural resources freely without the min. of sustainable Develpment to get involved and OPPRESS AND CRUSH our efforts. G Pierra was allowed to take over a whole beach and that is all good, but here is a man trying to improve our "Tourism Product" only to be stopped, by a Ministry, that daily misrepresent the government and it's agenda and good name. As usual, the end will be Min. H and her ministry will "CONTROL" it. But, Michael B. will eventual be vindicated. Michael just forget about the project. Cut Your losses now and walk away. Let them have it.

Comment: I jus want to say that it's not easy being a teacher knowing whats going on in todays world. I tip my hat to teachers who have the patience to deal with UNRULY children, they don't have any BEHAVIOR, RESPECT and no MORALS. Teachers needs to be defended and represented!!!!!!!! Parents NEED to take a stand and let there off-spring take full responsibility for there actions instead of some of them running to there rescue...... If we the PARENTS don't teach them at home who's going to do it for us????? When they mis-behave in school PUT THEM OUT!!!!!! I want to commend Mr. Welcome for taking such actions cause the teachers need protection too!!!! I've heard of so many incidents where children are abusing teachers, using profain langues towards their elders!!! It's so sickening to hear such thing in our small island instead of us coming together and living as one!!!! Thanks

Comment: earlier this week i saw this same truck driving wrecklessly in the area of the land fill. It ran the stop sign on the road coming from the land fill and nearly ran a pickup tuck off the road. Something need to be done about these truck drivers that has little concern for people in smaller vehicles..
