Comment: I know what it is to have a rebellious teenaged daughter. Sometimes we as single or married parents have it hard to get through to our children, from one reason or another.
I stick to my beliefs and try to teach her. Treat yourself with respect and others or most will also respect you. Your name is not hey gyul, if a male does not know your name don't answer unless he says excuse me miss. And for goodness sake we subject our children to too many adult scenarios. Our carnival songs mash up the car back and such like, the movies parents insisting on taking children, toddlers babies to look at violence, and lovemaking. What do we think will happen? Children then think violence is okay they become desensitized to it, and sex becomes just a way to get by. We as a community, society, country, need to begin practicing the morals we have been taught. Let us get back to practicing the saying "it takes the village to raise a child." |
