Comment: Truth. Dwyer Asterphan has one unavoidable flaw in that he was part of the problem with his support of Denzel Douglas for years. Repentance is something, however, not limited to a few but is there for those who want it. I think he has truly made a genuine effort to show he has repented. That being said, I also believe he does not want to position himself as our alternative for a leader, as some may think. I may be getting it wrong but I believe he wants as part of his hope for redemption, to help us to see the things that have been wrong for some time, and to, through his inside knowledge, point out the individual(s) who are guilty of sinking this beautiful island. If he is truly being targeted, that should come as no surprise to anyone, because we have seen too often how any real opposition to any government in this federation is met with victimization, making it so that not even the most knowledgeable and wealthy wants to publicly criticize the blatant and willful wrongs that are perpetrated against this population by a government who has become to preoccupied with the power struggle, to secure civil servants jobs, ensure school leavers have jobs, structure security forces properly so we can have more black and grey on the streets as deterrents, and put better policies in place to secure the country from bad spending that lead to high debt now being repaid by us all. I think there is something we are all missing if we are so unrelenting with our criticism of Dwyer while we are unwilling to openly criticize the obvious callousness of a leader whose alleged personal wealth makes small islands look like street vendors and who travels the world on our dime while insisting we must pay. I think we are so afraid of the same victimization Dwyer is talking about that we would rather beat him to a pulp to get him to hush, thinking that by doing that we may gain some favor with the real Devil, Denzel. We feel guilty about our constant silence and we vex Dwyer for doing his job, which is to challenge his government, as is all of our jobs which we have failed miserably to do for fifteen years. No, Dwyer would not be my next choice for a leader, but he will be a constant reminder and his information will be a constant motivation for me to encourage anyone who will listen, not to make the mistake of returning Denzel Douglas to power. So yes, for that reason, which I suspect Denzel Douglas is aware will be the case for many, Dwyer will likely get some pressure. And if you doubt it, you come in a it and try talking publicly about what you hate about the Douglas regime. |
