Comment: Well, the government was able to convince a majority of its citizens that the country is doing great. Therefore, the votes have no one else to blame but themselves. When the larger economies of the world were hurting severely, and the Prime Minister was still saying that the nation has a financial surplus, logical minds should have concluded that the numbers do not add up. Instead, they choose to ignore a trained economist, and listened to sugar coated speeches that were filled with glitter but no gold. |
