Comment: In response to "Teacher", while I agree that drinking and driving is not appropriate, it is unfair to place all the blame on Ross University students. Driving in St. Kitts is like playing a game of Russian Roulette. All too often, I am nearly hit while driving in my own lane because the driver headed towards me can't stay in their lane. Drivers don't seem to understand that by leaving your high beams on, you blind the person coming at you. These roads are cow paths, they are not a racing surface. Everyone needs to slow down, and be alert on the roads not just for your own safety, but for the safety others that are on the road with you. The turn where this tragic accident occurred is a death trap and something needs to be done to make it more safe. Although, I highly doubt anything will be done. The police and authorities on this island need to do more. That includes buckling down on their own citizens for their wreckless driving. I didn't really know you Matt, but I'm so very sorry. You will be missed by many. Rest in peace. |
