Comment: Real- I can't say I usually see people smoking cigars on Fort Street high day/night in front of children, and I can't say I'm accustomed to see Marlboro posters all over St. Kitts either, not like before, anyway. Anyway, just because smoking may be promoted in other circles, that does not mean we shouldn't speak out about the dangers of smoking, especially infront of our children. If we wait for everything to be 'ideal' before we speak out about one thing then we'll be waiting a long time. Besides, we might not be able to control policies and practices of certain businesses, but we can certainly take a stand against certain activities in our own communities, and among our own children. |
